I'll read anything, but it has to grab my attention from the first page and if I can achieve that in my own stories, where my readers have enjoyed the story so much they don't want it to end, then I think that’s when a little bit of magic happens. Paperbacks

A lot of my readers have asked if I’ll ever bring out paperbacks for the Madeleine series, as I have for Ella and Ruby. I haven’t before because the stories are so long, some of them over 400 pages, that the books turned out to be really expensive for people to buy. However, because so many of you have asked for paperbacks, I’ve finally made the decision to go ahead with them. So in the next few weeks I hope to start rolling them out. So watch this space. I’ll let you know when they’re ready to go.

I heard this quote from someone and love it: time – t is for thankfulness (for what I have and for what I receive), i is for inspiration (to learn and grow), m is for meditation (to still the mind), e is for exercise (to move the body). Everything in life must balance. Something for me to aim for! x

St Louis

A few readers have mentioned that St Louis is on the west bank of the Mississippi River, where I have it on the east bank. I based the beginning of Ella’s story on the east bank, in what is now East St Louis, but to make things clearer I’ve now changed Chesterfield to old Illinois Town although almost everything else stays the same. Thanks to all those readers for their suggestions. Really appreciate it.
