keeping you up to date

on what I’ll be doing this year. I’ve made the decision to go ahead and write a book on Te’tukhe, one of the main characters in the Madeleine series. I’ve got so many notes on him and I did fall in love with him a little while I was writing about Madeleine and Ryder, but my main difficulty was when to start his story.

We first met Te’tukhe in 1799 in the first book of the series When the Wolf Loves and he returned to play a big role in the last two books. But the last book, When the Wolf Breathes, ends in 1806 and I didn’t see him as having anywhere to go after that. And although there could have been a story during those years he was with Ryder between 1797-1799, I finally decided Te’tukhe’s book could start in 1796, the year BEFORE he meets up with Ryder. Although from my notes and what I’ve done so far, it’s going to be a bit brutal as those times were hard. But will keep you informed on this as this year goes on.

I’m also playing around with a story on Ruby, one of the central characters in Ella escape west by wagon train, which would make that a two-part series. So will keep you up to date on that as it progresses.
