Thank you!

A big thank you to everyone who has downloaded my book Two Feathers. I had plenty of doubts while writing it as it’s a little different to the other books in the Madeleine series, so I’m thrilled so many of you are reading it (free to those in KindleUnlimited), or downloading it.

I’m halfway through getting the Collection of Short Stories out to you. I’ve finally got my covers sorted so I’m hopeful I can get the Two Feathers paperback out sometime next week. The ebook and paperback covers for the short stories is also almost ready. Excited about getting that book out, then I can get onto book 8, the last book in the series. After that, it’s onto the Archard series. It seems to have taken forever to get to this point, but my books are all long, with Two Feathers being over 500 pages and the short stories being close to 300 pages. Looks like Book 8 will also be around 450 pages, but there’ll be a lot to cover. Anyway, just thought I’d say a big thanks to you all, I’m so pleased you’re enjoying Two Feathers. Also a big hug and thank you to those readers sending emails to me telling me how much you’re enjoying it. It means the world to me x

Two Feathers (#7 Madeleine series) is now live

I’ve finally managed to get Two Feathers published after some drama with Amazon’s AWS collapse last week. It’s also taken some time to get the advanced copies out to everyone, but the problems are all resolved now, so there shouldn’t be any more delays.

I hope you enjoy this book, although it’s a long read at around 500 pages. Book 8 is already in draft form and I hope to get that out to you early next year. That’s the last book in the series, however I’ll be publishing a collection of short stories before Christmas. That’s actually Book 9, but it’s almost ready to go so you may as well have it.

Thanks to everyone who have already downloaded Two Feathers and a big thank you for your patience and support over the past eighteen months. Couldn’t do this without you.

For those of you looking for the Amazon link here it is https://www.amazon.com/Two-Feathers-Madeleine-Sadie-Conall-ebook/dp/B0FTFHTD7Y otherwise you can check out the free excerpt on my Free Stuff page here on this website.

Pre-order of Book 7 is now available

Two Feathers, the 7th book in the Madeleine series is now live for PRE-ORDER. The publishing date is 24th October 2025, so not long to go now.

You can find it here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FTFHTD7Y or go to my “free stuff” page and click on the link there.

Can’t wait to get this book out to you. I’ll have the 9th book in the series out before Christmas which is the Collection of Short Stories, then I’ll have the 8th and final book in the series out as soon as I can in 2026. Its already in draft form so won’t take as long as this one.

Fate has other ideas

Just when you think you’re on top of things, you realize you’re not when things go wrong. I was hoping to publish Two Feathers in May but four things happened to cause delays.

First, the company who holds all my covers upgraded to a new system and now I can’t access any of my covers (eleven of them, including covers for the last three books in the Madeleine series). They’re working hard for me on retrieving all those covers, with Two Feathers being the most urgent as I need that cover to publish book 7.

Then I had a brief hospital stay to check on a few things that turned out okay.

Then my cat was in an accident with another cat and snapped his lower jaw in half which required two nights in the vet hospital, a great deal of money to fix him, pain relief for two weeks and two more vet visits to check him out. He’ll have his jaw wired shut for the next two months, he can eat okay as his upper jaw is fine, but just under his chin and along that lower jaw is all wires.

The last thing was three tradesmen coming here over two weeks for various things that went wrong. I tried to work while they were here but there’s always questions that need answering amid lots of noise.

I tried getting up before dawn to work on the book and again late at night, but I’m still behind. This book has been the hardest out of all my books to get published for various reasons, but it’ll get there.
